All
exhibitors must secure an
exhibitor's number for a fee of $2.00. This fee
will allow unlimited exhibits, except where
limited by space or department regulations. This fee
will be waived if early pre-entry of exhibits
is used. Check for pre-entry information on
the web site. Department entry fees are extra,
if applicable.

There is no entry fee for
exhibits, except livestock, and
those departments as indicated.

Refer to each department
for exhibit entry times. Generally, all exhibits
may be entered on Sunday, August 19, 2012,
between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and on Monday,
August 20, 2012, between 4:00 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The Fair Board reserves
the right to accept, limit or reject all
entries. All entries will be subject to space
available in each department.

Only livestock may be removed
from the grounds on
Saturday night after 10:00 p.m. ALL other exhibits
may be removed on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
No prize money will be awarded for exhibits removed
in violation of this rule. Unclaimed
prize ribbons will not be mailed.

All protests regarding the
judging must be made in writing and must plainly
state the cause of the complaint or appeal. Such
protests must be filed at the fair office within
24 hours of the occurrence. Three members of the
South Mountain Fair Association Board of
Directors, in consultation with the judge, will
investigate the complaint and make a decision.
Their decision will be final.

If there is only one
entry in a class, the South Mountain Fair
Association reserves the right not to award a
first place.

The South Mountain Fair
Association will do everything possible to
protect the commercial and competitive exhibits,
and is not responsible for theft, fire, damage,
injury or loss in any manner.

The South Mountain Fair
Association reserves the right to increase or
decrease all premiums based upon the amount of
reimbursement from the PA Agricultural Fair
Program. Rosettes have no monetary value.

Premium checks
for some departments will be available at the
Pit Beef pavilion on Sunday during exhibit
pickup. Any remaining checks will be
mailed no later than October 31. Checks must be
cashed promptly and within 60 days of being
issued. No checks will be reissued after Dec.
31.

Judging, in most
departments, will begin on Tuesday, August 21,
at 8:00 a.m. The Main Exhibit Building will be
closed to the public at this time. Consult
the daily schedule of activities for the judging
schedule of livestock.

No pets are permitted on
the fairgrounds except those assisting visually
impaired persons.

No alcoholic beverages
permitted on the South Mountain
Fairgrounds.

No bicycles are allowed
on the grounds.

Pictures of exhibits and/or
exhibitors may be used for advertising and may
be shown on the Fair web site and other
advertising venues. By entering exhibits
or livestock you consent to have those pictures
used. Please contact the Fair board if there are
any questions concerning this.
