Community Day 2002

COMMUNITY BREAKFAST PROGRAM - 9 a.m.

• All community Breakfast Program at the fire hall honoring Mayor William H. Carr (May 1992-May 2002) with R. Wayne Powell, PIO of the Vigilant Hose Company as Master of Ceremonies.  Speakers tentatively scheduled to speak are: Delegate Don Elliot, Paul Harner, CASS, Senior Citizens, Lions, Educators, and Friends.
• Declaration of King and Queen of Emmitsburg (for a day)
• King William's and Queen Chata’s Grand Inspection Tour of the Realm via two horse carriage (weather permitting and the horses (steeds) are up to it).
• The Honorable King and Queen will greet their loyal subjects along the route and at those stops listed below. In addition, the royal teamster will go where the King and Queen tells him to go!!
• The Kings Carriage departs the Fire Hall traveling East on Main Street.
• Photo Op in front of the Emmitsburg Town Hall.
• Stop at Library at Silo Hill.
• The Inspection tour of East Emmitsburg continues via Creamery Road and East Lincoln Avenue with stops at Seton Square, Emmitsburg Glass, Mother Seton School and continues along to the Antique Mall and Post Office.
• At 10 a.m. the King presides over the opening ceremonies at the Community Center's Game Fields where all the young at heart have assembled.
• Inspection tour of West Emmitsburg continues via West Lincoln Avenue, Tennis Courts (formerly Skate Board Park), Swimming Pool, Emmitsburg Recreation Committee's Face Painting, UpCounty complex, Lincoln on the Park, and the Emmitsburg Presbyterian Church.
• The King's entourage continues to the Ambulance Building for the 11 a.m. Royal Opening of all day Bingo.
• Traveling North Via South Seton Ave to the Square then up West Main St to an 11:15 Photo Op in front of the Doughboy at the Emmithouse.
• 11:20- Photo Op at the Emmitsburg Animal Hospital.
• 11:30 Carriage delivers The King and Queen to their Palace (home) where King William calms the clamoring citizenry!!
