1877 the building was the Zimmerman and Maxwell Warehouse. In the early 1900's it was a broom factory and later a bus depot. It first became a restaurant in 1943, named the White House. Some forty years later it was purchased by
the Hances and in December 1986 The Carriage House Inn was opened.
