Wes Hamrick
Married for 22+ years to a wonderful wife, Kim and am blessed with two
daughters; Reagan and Abby. I have almost 28 years with AT&T and also work on a part-time basis for Stauffer's Funeral homes. I am an active member at Weller United Methodist Church,
the Thurmont Lions Club and the Guardian Hose Company.
I started taking piano lessons when I was 7 years old and took for a total of 7 years. My very first 'public' performance, other than piano recitals, was at
an AME church in Bedford, PA when I was about 14 years old. Began to play at my home church on occasion shortly thereafter. In 1987, I started to play at various churches in the
Frederick County area. During my five years in Georgia, I began playing most Sundays at our church and upon my relocation back to this area, continued in the music ministry at the
Thurmont UMC.
I had the distinct priviledge to play on the Steinway grand piano in the East Room of the White House and at the age of 9 played a song for former First Lady
Mamie Eisenhower on the grand piano in her Gettysburg home.
In addition to my music ministry, I have had the honor to play at numerous weddings, funerals and other gatherings.
I thank the Lord that He gave me the love for music and the ability to express that love through music. And it is so wonderful to worship and praise God as a
unified band. |
