I am a new member of the band and praise God for the opportunity to spread his word through music.  I played guitar as a teenager and well into my young adult life. I eventually put my guitar away and forgot about it sometime around 1987.  For some strange reason in 2007, I took that guitar out of it's case, put some new strings on it and began to play. I found that after 20 years, I had to really work at bringing back my true musical ability. I was slow but I still remembered the chords. 

Strangely enough, without putting the word out, the praise team leader at my church asked me to play with them. Nervously I said yes. It all took off from there. Shortly after joining the praise team, Wes Hamrick, our band manager, asked if I would be interested in playing with the Catoctin Promise Band. Again I nervously said yes. This all happened within my first year of rediscovering my true love for music. I sensed that God had called me into the music ministry and can't  wait for my next message from Him.
