Town Manager's Report

Streets:

Staff installed the Mount St. Mary's bicentennial banners

Staff has repaired a number of street lights

Staff applied weed control on the sidewalks of Main Street and Seton Ave.

Staff trimmed a number of trees on several streets

Staff supervised the installation of permanent "speed bumps" on Lincoln Avenue and South School Lane
Water:

Rainbow Lake is now 1.0 feet below the spillway, and our five wells have dropped a total of fifty (50) feet (an average of ten
(10) feet each) since July 23, 2007 until September 10, 2007

The roughing filters are now being backwashed three times per day and the DE filters are being done once per week

The recently instituted water use restrictions are having mixed results
-

Water production and consumption. We produced and purchased an average of 380,640 gpd. We consumed an average of
325,421 gpd
-
The difference is "Backwash Water" ...(14.5%). We purchased 908,500 gals. of water from MSM this month.

44.5% of this water came from wells

7.7% of this water came from Mt. St. Mary's
-
47.8% of this water came from Rainbow Lake

Staff mulched around the playground equipment in Silo Hill Park

Staff replaced the basketball rim and backboard in Community Park

Staff installed additional lighting in the pavilion in Community Park

Staff performed standard mowing and trimming in all parks
