& Doneness Creativity Flavor Creativity is essential to a varied competition. Do not limit your pie to a “traditional”
two-crust apple pie. No milk or eggs in the recipe accepted. Variations in the filling are encouraged. Recipe must accompany pie.
Printed on an 8 1/2x11 piece of paper, with name,
address, phone number and Social Security number on the back. Pie must be 60%
apple. Each fair
certifies the winning apple pie baker who must enter their pie in the 2010 PA Farm Show competition

QUICK BREAD CONTEST Open to Sponsored by Jane’s Market, Inc. Rules: 1.
One loaf of quick (non-yeast) bread baked
in a 9”x5” pan and displayed on a paper plate or cardboard. 2.
Recipe must include at least one cup or
more of the following PA grown vegetables: asparagus, beans, beets, broccoli,
cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, cucumber, greens, eggplant, garlic,
horseradish, leeks, onion, parsley, peas, pepper, pumpkin, spinach, summer
squash, zucchini, sweet corn, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, turnips or winter
squash. 3.
Recipe
must accompany the entry. 4.

Entry must be a cake made from scratch
using “PEQAP” eggs. 2.
Cake must be submitted for judging on
cardboard (no doily required). 3. Recipe(s) listing the ingredients and
the preparation instructions must be submitted on one side of an 8 1/2x11” paper along with the end cap
showing the “PEQAP” emblem and name, address, and phone number on the back. 4.
Cake may be iced or filled. Each

Department of Agriculture Rules: 1.
One entry per person. 2.
Entry must be a layered chocolate cake made
from “scratch” and frosted (no mixes). 3.
CAKE
RECIPE: A minimum of ¼ cup of HERSHEY’S 4.
FROSTING/
DRIZZLE: If chocolate frosting or chocolate drizzle is used, HERSHEY’S 5.
If
candy, chocolate, or flavored baking chips are used, they must be HERSHEY’S,
REESE;S, or HEATH brand products, and listed with
their brand name in the recipe. (See www.hersheys.com
for complete product list.) 6.
The entire cake entry must be submitted for

BROWNIE OR BAR BAKING CONTEST Open to Sponsored
by The Hershey Company Pennsylvania
Department of Agriculture Rules: 1.
Exhibitor must be an individual (age 8
through and including 18 years ONLY).
One enter per person. 2.
Entry must be a plat of six (6) cookies,
brownies or bars made from “scratch” (no mixes). 3.
A minimum of ¼ cup of HERSHEY’S BAKING
CHIPS (any variety) must be used and listed as “HERSHEY’S” and name the
specific chip variety in the cookie/brownie/bar recipe. 4.
Of chocolate frosting or chocolate drizzle
is used, HERSHEY’S 5.
No competitor’s candy, chocolate, flavored
baking chips or peanut products may be used. 6.
Entry must be submitted for judging on a
doily-covered cardboard or a disposable plate. 7.
Recipe(s) must be submitted with the
entry, printed on one side of an 8 1/2x11” paper. Recipe must list all incredients,
quantities, and the preparation instructions.

HOUSE CONTEST Open to Sponsored
by The Pub & Restaurant Rules: 1.
Open to all youths, ages 8 through 18
years. 2.
All exhibitors must secure an exhibitor
number for a fee of $1.00. 3.
Houses must be presented on aluminum foil
covered cardboard that is no larger than 8 ½ by 11 inches. 4.
House and all decorations must be edible. 5.
Judging will be
based on overall appearance, construction and creativity. 6.
Gingerbread Houses
