Dear Reader:
Thank you so much for your positive comments about the July issue of The Catoctin Banner. We received an unprecedented 60 correct guesses to our "Who Am I" column. While the identity of our August mystery figure was easy for many to guess, you may learn some surprising facts about him that you didn’t know.
Read on!
The new Thurmont Regional Library is truly a treat for library patrons. If you haven’t been there yet, make tracks- it’s worth the trip.
This month, Chas Polyniak is back with her column "Love My Pet". We invite you to share your special friends with us, just send an email or letter to us and we’ll either take your info or follow-up in person. We love to hear your stories and memories.
Valerie Nusbaum’s column, "Happily Ever After" was a hit last month as well. She’s back this month with an article that I think baby boomers will find humerous. Rock on!
Catoctin High School Junior, Kim Haines, contributes a new column this month. While her column is geared towards our youth, this month’s Wi-Fi article is informative for all.
George W. Wireman rounds out his final article of his Emmitsburg Railroad Series this month. Next month, look for the return of his "This and That" Column. You may remember reading "This and That" in The Catoctin Enterprise and then The Glade Times & Mountain Mirror. Thank you, George.
Stay tuned for some of my off-the-wall ideas for advertising the advertisers in upcoming issues. It’s because of them that this good-news rag exists. So please patronize those who reach out to you through this publication.
Enjoy!
