Catoctin Youth Assocation’s wrestling league
In March, the Catoctin Youth Assocation’s (CYA) wrestling league concluded their season by hosting the Mason Dixon Championship ‘B’ Qualifier at
Catoctin High School. CYA had an outstanding day with the following wrestlers placing in the top four to continue on to Championships.
Qualifiers for the event were: 1st – Dakota Goff, Gage Randall, Joey Puvell, Collin Schildt, Jon Sweeney and Mason Francis; 2nd – Devin Stafford, Noah
Stone, Charlie Perella and Kurt Sanders; 3rd – Payne Harrison, Jonathon Stambaugh, David Stone, Chance Blevins, Parker Rohrbaugh and James Kehne; 4th – Kevin Miller, Bennie Dewees,
Collin Bowersox and Eric Stone.
 During the subsequent Championships, the following
wrestlers placed in the top four in their respective weight classes. The sole Champion from CYA for 2007 was David Stone. In second place was Devin Stafford, Joey Puvell, Kurt
Sanders, Collin Schildt, Jon Sweeney. Third place winners were Chance Blevins, James Kehne, Mason Francis and fourth place went to Dakotah Goff, Noah Stone, Charlie Perella, Payne
Harrison and Parker Rohrbaugh
This year’s CYA wrestling coaches were Tim Cole, Brian Payne, Charlie Perella, Mark Small, Jeremy Fuss, Dave Stone and John Berkey.
The Catoctin CYA Wrestling Team qualifiers are shown above. Shown at left is CYA’s first place champion David Stone.
