Liller’s Celebrate 30 Years of Marriage
Jeffrey and Allonia Liller of Thurmont celebrated their 30th wedding
anniversary on July 21st at The Red Horse Restaurant in Frederick.
The couple was married at Calvary United Methodist Church in Mount Airy by the late Rev. James Talley.
Jeff and Allonia renewed their vows, with Rev. Garey Rice officiating.
Among those present to help celebrate their joyous occasion were their children, Michael and Mark Liller both of Thurmont, Jennifer and husband John
Finn of Baltimore, Jeff’s parents Clifton and Pauline Liller of Thurmont, Jeff’s sister Pamela Lawson, his brother Rick and wife Barbara Liller, Allonia’s brother Richard Easton and
her two sisters Linda and husband Ronald Medlar, Martha and husband Mike May, and many more relatives and close friends including Allonia’s original maid-of-honor, Sherrie Knight
Pollatos.
Jeff and Allonia’s original photographer Linda Pirrung of "Focus on Elegance", once again honored the couple with her photography talent.
The couple celebrated their special day with a delicious lunch, music, and dancing.
Jeff has been employed by Williams/Transco in Ellicott City for 26 years and is looking forward to his retirement in several years. Jeff and Allonia
enjoy spending as much time as possible with their twin grandsons, Davin and Ryin.
AMVETS Post 7 of Thurmont Award Scholarships

Rice Studying for Doctorate
Melissa Rice, daughter of Thomas and Patricia Rice of Thurmont and a 2001 graduate of Catoctin High School, graduated from Mount St. Mary’s
University in 2005 with a major in Sociology/Criminal Justice. Afterwards, she graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a masters degree in Applied Sociology.
This fall Melissa will be attending University of Maryland’s Graduate School of Public Health in Baltimore. She will be working toward a
doctorate degree in Gerontology while also studying for a masters degree in Epidemiology and Preventative Medicine.
While attending school, Melissa works full-time for the National Institute of Aging under the Intramural Research Training Award.
