Ford Wins Poster Contest

Christian Ford, a second grade student, from Mother Seton School was selected as a state winner in the Maryland Association of REALTORS (MAR) Equal Opportunity/Cultural Diversity Committee Fair Housing Poster Contest. Christian was one of three finalists chosen by the Frederick County Association of Realtors to participate in this year’s state competition, The Unity of Colors in Fair Housing in 2007.

MAR works with local schools, in kindergarten through grade 8, to encourage and promote understanding of equal opportunity in housing. Winners are awarded with certificates and savings bonds presented by Maryland’s Governor Robert Ehrlich in a ceremony at the Maryland Statehouse and each will be included in a colorful calendar.

The Frederick County local finalists also received award certificates and gift cards from Borders at a school presentation to show local appreciation.
