The 49th annual Community Show this past weekend offered family fun for everyone. Whether you were showing your hard work or just there to have fun, the Community Show is an annual agriculture event which is a rite of passage for northern Frederick County.

This year’s event opened on Friday night and paid tribute to two local organizations. Thurmont Elementary School and the Emmitsburg Baseball and Softball League each celebrated their 50th anniversary this year and the Community Show recognized these two groups for their outstanding service to the community.

The weather was outstanding or and contributed to yet another successful year for the the Thurmont-Emmitsburg Community Show.

More details and photos about the show will be in the October 15 issue of The Catoctin Banner.
