Anna Mae Kwarta

Anna Mae Kwarta, age 72, of Emmitsburg, Md., died on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010 at the Gettysburg Hospital.

Born Aug. 11, 1937 in Emmitsburg, Md., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel (Harbaugh) Cool.

Anna was an avid mushroom hunter, and worked for a time on the assembly line at Freeman Shoe Factory. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, who loved spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are her children, John, Walter, Diana, Andy and Frank Kwarta, and Sherry Weikert, all of Emmitsburg, Md.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six siblings, Betty Stofcik of Gettysburg, Leroy Cool of Emmitsburg, Md., Doris Dinterman of Thurmont, Md., Barbara Dinterman of Emmitsburg, Md., Kenneth Cool of Emmitsburg, Md., and Linda Clabaugh of Thurmont, Md.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Richard Cool, and a niece, Lori Dinterman.
