Mrs. D'Ann Spangler

Mrs. D'Ann Evelyn Spangler, 67, of N. Seton Ave., Emmitsburg, Md., died Thursday, August 10, at her residence.

Born February 17, 1939, in Washington, D.C., she was a daughter of the late Daniel A. Sullivan Jr. and Elizabeth Mullvaney Sullivan. Mrs. Spangler was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Emmitsburg, Md. She had worked for "The Word Among Us" magazine for 10 years.

Surviving is her husband, Paul R. Spangler Sr. of Emmitsburg; five children, Daniel A. Spangler and wife Sarah of Frederick, Md., D'Ann Kolb and husband Stanley of Ocean City, Md., Paul Spangler and wife Ruth of Frederick, Md., Liz Spangler of Smithsburg, Md., and Andrew Spangler of Frederick, Md.; and eight grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Daniel A. Sullivan III, and a sister, Veronica Smith.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 14, from St. Anthony's Shrine Parish, Emmitsbug, Md., with the Rev. Stephen P. Trzecieski as celebrant. Interment will be in New St. Joseph's Cemetery, Emmitsburg.
