"Be careless in you dress if you must be keep a tidy mind"

Mark Twain (1835 - 1910)

Tornado Watch: Watch out for tornadoes on May 1st and 2nd as well as the 18th through the 20th.

Full Moon: With so many flowers blooming after those April showers, the Full Moon of May has naturally became known as the Flower Moon. But the Huron Indians called it the Budding Moon for similar reasons. Farmers called it the Milk Moon because of a noticed increase in milk produced. It will occur at 10:34PM on May 4th.

Special Notes: Safe Kids Week is May 5th to May 11th. Remember to always check manufacturer's recommendations for safe and proper usage of child car seats. So many injuries can be avoided, even death, if you use the devices correctly. Children should not use regular seatbelts until they are at least 8 years old, be 4'9'' tall and weigh 80 pounds.

Holidays: Mother's Day is celebrated on Sunday May 9th. Be nice and tell Mom you love and appreciate her for everything she has done for you. And don't forget Armed Forces Day, Monday, May 17th and Memorial Day on Monday, May 31st. There are still so many working to protect our liberties and freedoms here and around the world. Be sure to make every effort to honor them in your thoughts and take a special moment of silence as you celebrate their day.

The Garden: Before you start mowing the grass again, let it grow a little taller then the recommended growing height before cutting. This will give the lawn a jump-start and make it stronger. Set the mowing deck to trim the grass back one-third, then gradually lower it to the proper height for the specific type of grass. Do some trimming of hedges and shrubs to get them to the shape you want.
