New York City

New York, New York, so good they named it twice. It's an obvious option, but a simple 4 hour drive away that is absolutely teeming with landmarks and culture to admire.

There are so many icons of New York you can't list them all. Head to the city and you can salute, and even enter, Lady Liberty, have your own romantic moment at the top of the Empire State Building, or take a wander around the world-renowned Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Indiana is the motherland for sports fans. The obvious option is the Indy 500, which will kick off on May 29th this year and features all the thrill and speed you can expect from such a high-octane race but there is far more if driving isn't your thing.

Niagara is a great family day out. You can take a boat ride around the falls, to really get up close and personal with the rushing water, or venture around behind them for an enthralling experience. And then there is the town of Niagara across the road from the falls. It's like a town-sized carnival, with upside down houses, King Kong swinging from a restaurant roof, and funhouses lining every street. Try crazy golfing, the waterpark, seeing the wax museum, or riding the Niagara SkyWheel for unmatched views above the falls.

Once you've had your fill of carnival fun, you can head into Toronto for the ultimate city-experience.
